Update: Virtual World Carbon footprints

Since my short post on the internet carbon footprint, I’ve come across an analysis of the power demands of the typical avatar on Second Life. If you’ve seen these characters on the 110 freeway in downtown LA, then you probably fear them. In the confusion of merging off the 10E, I try to ignore their eerie presence. A glance at the large violin playing ringleader seems to consume an entire afternoon.
