    It’s definitely time to trim down my subscriptions. From the second graph, you can see that I’m reliably asleep between 6a and 10a. It makes you wonder how much google knows about the sleeping habits of Google Reader users. But I try not to think too hard about how much google knows. It’ll make you [...]

    The Senica tale - A Geo Mystery

    Daniel published this entry on Tuesday 28 August, 2007 at 11:08 pm. It's been filed in the art + google + map category. {Share Your Thoughts}

    I saw that Google Earth was now doing web searches through .kml files. Interesting thought I. For some reason, the first thing that popped in my head was “I wonder if someone has pinpointed where Apocalypse now was filmed.” When I typed that in, the only result Earth returned was an unnamed kml (map) file [...]

    From Google Street Map View, aka art emergent from the info-machine. zeroed in on by the Great Collector, crying out one at a time without knowing why. If you’re not in the center of these images, you’re blurry. [Gallery here] These images were likely created by this automaton: [from here]

    I just got an email from the folks at Writely that my password will now become my Google Password. I guess this means that Writely is one step closer to joining the barrage of awesome google services.
    You can think of Writely (if you haven’t heard of it) as a Microsoft Word on the internet. You [...]

    Google Video has been filling up lately. Millions are uploading stupid videos of themselves turning into cupcakes: (30 seconds)

    And some are even baking them. Then there’s the clips with a little more class:

    Then there are AMAZING videos. If you’ve watched this far I congratulate you. A couple days ago I [...]

    Google Needs to Slow down

    Daniel published this entry on Monday 27 March, 2006 at 11:27 pm. It's been filed in the adwords + google + uncategorized category. {1 Comment}

    I try to give my advice as often as I can. I really hope they listen to this one:

    But seriously. If you look at the number of things that Google affects online, and the speed with which they release new and incredible tools that we just can’t seem to live without, you just want [...]

    Came upon a video that stung my fancy with the prick of a harmonica: Download here..

    Real-time traffic maps using google maps and streaming traffic updates. A wondrous combipilation.
    For you gmail users, your email address is both you@gmail.com and you@googlemail.com, due to a copyright conflict in Germany with a previously established gmail domain. neat, eh?

    Stop doing whatever you’re doing. Check out Google Maps. Throw down your address, and then click on ‘Satellite’ in the upper right hand corner. They just added that feature. It used to be only a street map service… Google style. Play around with it a little bit. Directions, finding restaurants in the map area [...]
