The architecturally impressive seat of the European Union in Brussels will surely be missed. But besides the guilded grand palaces and efficient pleasant city vibes, I will most miss scenes like this: The zebra waiter in the Brussel main train station.
I took a train down to Bordeaux… a 7 hour fast one that took about 6 hours. I’m now just beyond the battle for Helm’s Deep in ‘The Two Towers.’ He never asked to see my Eurail pass so the ticket only cost the price of the reservation: 3 euros. Granada next. Morocco maybe.
